Company Name & Phone

We need both to match you with a Lender and to put you in touch. Nothing is shared with a Lender until you agree to it on the last step.

Approximate Annual Revenue?

Revenue sets the range of what's realistic to ask for, and most Lenders size their offer against it. An estimate is fine — nothing is verified until an intake call.

Desired Funding Amount

The exact number matters more here than anywhere else — Lender matching keys off it directly. Enter the one you would move ahead with. Assessments start at $25,000.

Use of Funds

What the money is for decides which Lenders can take the deal — some fund equipment only, others working capital. Pick the closest match and add detail on the call.

How long have you been in Business?

Most Lenders will not look at a Business below a certain age, commonly six, twelve or twenty-four months. The range is all we need — the exact date does not matter.

Personal Credit Profile

For most Business Lending under a few million, the Owner's personal credit gets pulled. A range is all we need here — no exact score, and this is not a credit check.

Existing Debt Load

What you already pay monthly is weighed against your Revenue, never judged alone — routine financing on a larger Business reads very differently to a smaller one.

WHAT THIS MEANS

Nothing here is unusual for a Business that hasn’t yet prepared for a transaction. The good news: these questions are knowable, and addressable, starting now.

LENDER FIT: DESCRIPTION
Data

What the money is for is the strongest single signal of which Lenders can take a request.

This is a directional read of which kinds of Lender typically take a request of this shape — not an offer, a credit decision, or a rate. Your fit also depends on coverage, collateral and time in Business. EdgeMark Associates is not a Lender.

Where you Stand on the Five C's

Every answer you gave rolls into one of five things a Lender weighs.

Capacity
0

Teaser Content ...

0 / 10

WHAT IT MEANS

Capacity is the cash-flow test: after the new payment, does the Business still cover what it owes — comfortably, not narrowly.

WHY IT MATTERS

It is the heaviest thing in your score and the first thing an Underwriter models. Thin coverage is the most common reason a workable request is declined.

PRACTICAL STEPS

Calculate coverage with the new payment included

Clear or consolidate the smallest obligations first

Size the ask against what cash flow actually supports

Have twelve months of bank statements ready

Character
0

Teaser Content ...

0 / 10

WHAT IT MEANS

Character is the track record behind the numbers — your personal credit, how current and reconciled the books are, and how long you have traded.

WHY IT MATTERS

Underwriting moves at the speed of your paperwork. Clean books and a settled credit history are what let a Lender take the rest of the file at face value.

PRACTICAL STEPS

Reconcile every account and close the books monthly

Pull your own credit report before a Lender does

Keep two years of returns and statements within reach

Dispute errors now — corrections take weeks to clear

Conditions
0

Teaser Content ...

0 / 10

WHAT IT MEANS

Conditions is the situation around the request — the size and direction of Revenue, and how precisely you can account for where the money goes.

WHY IT MATTERS

Lenders fund plans, not intentions. A Business growing steadily with a documented use of proceeds reads very differently to one flat with a general idea.

PRACTICAL STEPS

Write the use of proceeds down line by line

Show the trend in figures rather than describing it

Explain any dip before you are asked about it

Tie the ask to what the money will actually produce

Stat Number

Statistic Description

Collateral
0

Teaser Content ...

0 / 10

WHAT IT MEANS

Collateral is what secures the request. What matters is less what you own than whether the value is documented and the assets sit free of liens.

WHY IT MATTERS

Collateral widens the range of Lenders who can say yes — and undocumented value is treated as no value at all, however real the asset behind it is.

PRACTICAL STEPS

List assets at current value, not purchase price

Run a UCC search and clear anything already filed

Get equipment and property appraised in advance

Separate personally-owned assets from Business ones

Stat Number

Capital
0

Teaser Content ...

0 / 10

WHAT IT MEANS

Capital is what you put in alongside the Lender. It carries the smallest weight in your Index and sends the clearest signal of conviction.

WHY IT MATTERS

Many Lenders expect an injection, and the ones that do not still read it. Money of your own in the deal moves the question from whether to fund to how.

PRACTICAL STEPS

Decide what you can contribute before a Lender asks

Document where the contribution is coming from

Season the funds in the Business account beforehand

Count seller or partner money as part of the answer
